This 4-week Beginner League is designed to help new players gain confidence in their skills through consistent, friendly matches. Perfect for those looking to play weekly, learn about scoring and connect with others in the Third Coast Mahjong community. The top two cumulative scorers receive prizes at the end of each league series. - Play 3 games in 2 hours of game play each week - Players rotate through tables - Bring your own current NMJL card - Scoring follows the NMJL rules with bonuses: +10 for self-pick; +20 for Jokerless hand; + 10 for wall game - Complimentary snacks and beverages always available - Every player eligible for weekly door prizes - Top scorer wins a new set of Mahjong tiles; 2nd place receives a Mahjong mat or Mahjong bag - Can't make it to every session? No problem- we will help you find a sub (48 hour notice required)
